our trailer turned out very well and we are excited to use most of or all of it in our actual documentary. now we are focused on getting our main interviews with Martin wolfe and the founder of the us pond hockey championships. we have simon's dad lined up for an interview but we are waiting for the founder to get back from vacation to set up an interview. we are also accumulting as much b roll as possible to go along with our audio. after we get all of our footage we will use most of the sunday editing sessions that are given to us.
the article was very well written and delivered a strong message. the way it was organized made it very effective in capturing the readers attention. it made me think more in depth about the everlasting effect that mlk had on society.

Documentary Post 6
Last friday we got a lot of interesting footage at Bryn Mawr park of me playing hockey on the pond. We got tons of cool shots of the puck, nets, ice, and me skating around. We also got some nice establishing shots that should look great in our trailer. The only thing we have left to do for our trailer is record the opinions of many people on outdoor hockey and film more people playing. With the amount of footage we have and the ideas we are formulating we are very confident going into the editing session this weekend.
I believe that the message this article is trying to get across is the necessity of being honest. The five people that don't want to become six should either decide to get to know the sixth person and let him in the house or straight up tell him that they are better off without him. Instead, they just push him away which isn't enough to make him stay away. I think the author is trying to display that honesty is the best policy and that everything should work out fine if the issue is taken care of in a mature, respectful way.

Documentary Post 5
We now have a lot of b-roll recorded and are continuing to get more footage. Right now our focus is on getting tons of video of outdoor hockey before the ice melts on the rinks. We have thought of ways to get different shot angles and lots of variety that will be visually pleasing in our trailer and final project. We are also going to get an interview soon to add some narration to our trailer. The process of formulating ideas for our trailer is going well, we just need more information on how to outline our video. The biggest difficulty we have faced is finding time when all of us are free to go to the park and shoot footage.
The poem of the student writing a paper to their professor was very unique and interesting. It provided me with a new outlook on the issue of racism and ways it can be solved. Hughes delivers his message in the form of the student that everyone is a "part" of everyone else, despite the color of their skin. This article had a strong effect on the way I look at social issues in the modern world.
